The Creative Industries
in Pinellas County: 2009 Report
The Creative Industries report offers a research-based approach to understanding the scope and economic importance of the arts in Pinellas County. The recent data figures were compiled by Dunn & Bradstreet for Americans for the Arts. Nationally, there are 686,076 businesses involved in the creation or distribution of the arts that employ 2.8 million people, representing 4.2% of all businesses and 2.04% of all employees. In comparison, as of January 2009, Pinellas County is home to 2,548 arts-related businesses that employ 10,989 people.
